Levi is our “special” blind dog. He was born on 02/11/99 with a condition called Retinal Dysplasia and so, from the age of twelve weeks, he lost what little sight he had, which was not much in the first place.
Then, when he was 5 months old, he developed Glaucoma in his left eye, and so had it removed on the vet’s advice. When he was 11 months old, he developed Glaucoma in his right eye, and so, again on the advice of the vet, he had that eye removed.

This has not stopped Levi from enjoying life, as you can see from the photos.

Levi is a very “special” dog in another way, as, until we moved house, he was a Blood Donor for our Vet’s Practice.

The vets and nurses loved having Levi in with them for the day, as they said he was really good, and very patient, and they did not need to sedate him to take the blood.

We also have the pleasure of knowing that he has helped to save the lives of several much loved dogs.
